Fury Cutter (Japanese: れんぞくぎり Consecutive Cut) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

File:Fury Cutter III.gif
Fury Cutter done consecutively

Generation II to IV

Fury Cutter starts out with a low base power of 10. Every time Fury Cutter is used successfully, its power will double. If Fury Cutter misses or the user is switched out, the power will reset to normal. After this attack has been used 5 times, the power will no longer increase, meaning Fury Cutter can reach a maximum base power of 160.

Generation V

Fury Cutter now has a base power of 20, with the same maximum power of 160 as before. If another move is selected, Fury Cutter's Power will reset.
