Flatter (Japanese: おだてる Flatter) is a non-damaging Dark-type move introduced in Generation III. It is similar to Swagger, but it is not as potent.

Effect

Flatter raises the target's Special Attack by one stage and then confuses it. Should the target be already confused, or protected by Safeguard, its Special Attack will still be raised.
