Extreme Risk (Japanese: いのちがけ Extreme Risk) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

Extreme Risk causes the user to faint after the attack, the target then receives damage equal to the user's lost HP. This effectively, with the possible exception of counter, makes this move the strongest Template:Type2 move because the damage done can be in the hundreds. For example if used by a level 100 Blissey using Metronome, the damage could be as much as 714 to the target.

If Extreme Risk would not hit the opponent due to missing, immunity or Protect, then Extreme Risk will fail and the user will not faint.
