Release information

This puck was awarded as a prize to those who placed second in the Zekrom Cup tournaments or Battrio Master Playoff held at the 35th Next Generation World Hobby Fair during winter 2012. The Zekrom Cup was open to all ages, but the Battrio Master Playoff was limited to those in junior high school or below. The World Hobby Fair took place at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Osaka on January 15, 2012; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on January 21 and 22, 2012; at the Nagoya Dome, Nagoya on January 29, 2012; and at the Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome, Fukuoka on February 5, 2012.

The puck was later available as one of two optional second place prizes in the Reshiram & Zekrom Cup (the other was Samurott) held over the course of the Kids Games Festival in Golden Week. The events present at each venue hosting the festival depended on the 'Pattern' allocated. 'Pattern A' events held the Reshiram & Zekrom Cup and the Kyurem Cup, which took place at ÆON Mall Atsuta, Nagoya on April 28, 2012; at ÆON Mall Aratamabashi, Nagoya on April 29, 2012; at Dynalecx, ÆON Ibaraki Shopping Center, Osaka on April 30, 2012; at the Mori complex of ÆON Mall LakeTown, Saitama on May 3, 2012; and at ÆON Natori, Miyagi on May 6, 2012.

The puck was made available for a final time as one of three optional second place prizes in the Pokémon Battrio Big Thanksgiving event to celebrate the game before its announced discontinuation in May 2012. The event took place at Namco Wonder Park Hero's Base in Kawasaki on June 3, 2012.
