Dodrio Berry Picking (Japanese: ドードリオのきのみどり Dodorio Berry Picking) is a minigame exclusive to Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald and which can be played over the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter. It is one of two minigames included in the Joyful Game Corner, located in Two Island on Boon Island in the Sevii Islands, with the other being Pokémon Jump.

It is similar to the Egg Emergency minigame from Pokémon Stadium 2.

Gameplay

In Dodrio Berry Picking, three to five Dodrio line up and try to collect as many Berries as possible before time runs out. By using the ←, →, and ↑ buttons on the Game Boy Advance's D-pad to make each Dodrio's heads catch the falling Berries, players fill up boxes in a meter that tracks progress. Each Berry fills a box in the meter and missing a single Berry causes the meter to restart. Players must also focus on catching as many purple Berries and as few green Berries as possible.

In order to play the minigame, three to five players must link up and have a Dodrio in their party.

After each minigame, players may be awarded rare Berries, depending on the score obtained by the individual or by the whole team.

A player must score 2000 points on each minigame to get one of the Trainer stars.

Red and Blue on the Path of Catching

The Dodrio Berry Picking minigame appeared as part of a training method designed by Kimberly in order to teach Red and Blue the ultimate moves: Frenzy Plant and Blast Burn, respectively. During the training, Red and Blue had to ride on Dodrio whilst catching several falling Berries without letting them fall.

The Dodrio Berry Picking minigame was referred to as the Path of Catching instead.
