Dewgong (Japanese: ジュゴン Jugon, German: Jugong, French: Lamantine) is a Water/Ice-type Pokémon.
Name Origins
Dewgong's name is a reworded form of "dugong", which is a type of sea-lion. It also has the appearance of a manatee. Manatees have been mistaken for mermaids by inebriated sailors who were lonely when at sea.
