Dark Crobat is the only Neo Destiny card that explicitly ''requires'' a {{TCG|Dark Pokémon}} from the {{TCG|Team Rocket}} expansion to come into play. Because of this, it was an [[orphaned card]] for a time when it came to the {{TCG|Modified format}} due to the only {{TCG ID|Team Rocket|Dark Golbat|7}} card at the time being rotated out in the first {{TCG|rotation}}. It would not be playable in the format again until {{TCG ID|Base Set|Pokémon Breeder|76}} was reprinted in {{TCG|Legendary Collection}}.
