The jobs are ranked E, ★2, ★3, ★4 or ★5 by default, depending on the floor. Lower Crevice Cave is treated as ★5 or ★6 depending on the floor for purposes of Treasure Boxes.
Floors 1 through 4 of Crevice Cave are medium-sized with 3-9 rooms, floor 4 of Lower Crevice Cave is small-sized with 2-6 rooms; all other floors are large sized (with 3-10 rooms on floor 5 and 3-8 rooms on every other floor). There's 1-4 items on floor 1 and 2-5 on floors 2 through 4 of Crevice Cave - after which it keeps changing every second floor between 3-6 and 2-5 items. All floors have 4-7 items in the walls. There's 2-3 starting enemies on floors 1 and 2 of Crevice Cave, 2-4 of Crevice Cave, and 3-5 on later floors.
The IQ Booster activates on every even floor. Turn limit is 1000. The player cannot be rescued if knocked out in Lower Crevice Cave. Enemies in Crevice Cave 150IQ, and 331 in Lower Crevice Cave (except boss which has 330). There is light darkness starting on floor 6 of Crevice Cave. It's foggy on floors 3, 6 and 10 of Crevice Cave by default, although certain Pokémon can summon other weather.
Pokémon encountered
Each time player enters a floor, only 14 of the species that can be found on a given floor will be chosen. The unpicked Pokémon's spawn rate will be added to whichever picked Pokémon is next in the National Dex order, going back to the beginning if needed.
At the relay point one can hear the introduction music from the start of the game when the survey was presented.
This is the only dungeon that is progressed through the main storyline where the music randomly changes.
Froslass, despite being the boss Pokémon in this dungeon, can be encountered (and recruited) earlier in the game; they appear in Crystal Crossing after graduating from the guild.
