Cotton Spore lowers the target's Speed stat by two stages, and has an accuracy of 85.

The accuracy of Cotton Spore is increased to 100.

Trivia

  • No Pokémon introduced in Generation IV or Generation I can learn Cotton Spore by level up, and only Budew can learn it by other methods, in this case by breeding.
  • Mareep and its evolved forms are the only non-Grass-type Pokémon able to learn Cotton Spore, most likely due to Mareep's cotton-like wool.
    • Due to this, Mareep's fully evolved form, Ampharos can learn Cotton Spore, despite not possessing any visible wool.
