Chuchu (Japanese: チュチュ Chu Chu) is one of the Pokémon that Yellow has in the Pokémon Special manga.

Chuchu is Yellow's Pikachu, and considered to be her starter Pokémon, despite the fact that her first Pokémon was a Rattata. Some consider her the counterpart to Red's male Pikachu, Pika.

History

Chuchu was captured about three years after Yellow's first appearance in the Red, Green & Blue chapter. Yellow captured her in the Viridian Forest, which is also Yellow's birthplace.

Chuchu and Pika produce an egg when Pika spends time with Yellow while Red is relaxing at Mt. Silver. Gold owns the Pichu that came from the egg.

Moves and special abilities

Chuchu is known for her unique ability to Fly around on a pair of balloons. This also contributes to her position as Pika's counterpart, as Pika had the special ability of Surfing. She also used Volt Tackle with Gold's Pichu and Red's Pika against the fake Kyogre.
