Release information
In Japan, this card was given away to visitors at the Tokyo Nintendo Space World, held in August 2001. The English version of the card was obtainable by buying a ticket to the cinema showing of Celebi: Voice of the Forest and was packaged with a double-sided e-reader advertisement. The "Celebi: Voice of the Forest" logo is also featured underneath the illustration. The card was reprinted in Japan with new artwork by the same artist and was available as an insert with Volume 13 of Pokémon Card Trainers magazine, released in September 2001.
The original version of this card was reprinted with the EX Series card design exclusively in English and released as one of the Nintendo Black Star Promos. This print was first available in the EX Collector's Carry Tin and later the EX Value Pack.

Trivia
- The Wizards of the Coast version was the first English promotional card to feature the aesthetic changes made to the cards in the e-Card Series.
- The Wizards version miscredits the artist as "Hajime Kusajim". This is corrected for the Nintendo version.
Origin
This card's English e-Reader Pokédex entries come from Pokémon Crystal. The Japanese entry for the Wizards Black Star Promo print also comes from Pokémon Crystal, but the entry from P Promotional print comes from Pokémon Gold.
