While I don't intend to get into the discussion whether you should be allowed to delete the welcome, I have a different issue with his matter. I think that new users should be told to delete nothing, not even the welcome, on their talk page more clearly - ideally in the welcome itself. Currently, this notice is hidden at the very bottom of this article, which isn't even on the list of main links in the welcome. --[[User:Socob|Socob]] 17:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

"Make sure to respond to them on your own talk page, and not theirs. Splitting a conversation between two pages can be very annoying to the person you are talking to, or, you yourself, trying to read their responses." - Really why do we always want to be different from other Wikis? On all normal Wikis it's actually recommended to respond on other user's page. It reduces the possibilities of an edit conflict and the user gets notified. I often hold more than one ongoing discussion with various users and I can't keep track of them all without being notified. It's especially annoying if the user is rarely online and replies after months, sometimes even over a year. I can't check other user's page to see whether or not he replied, especially for such long time. A month is enough to forget. So, if I never get noticed when the user FINALLY replied, I'll probably won't be even aware of the fact that he did. And actually, such users who come here "once in a blue moon" aren't a rarity, they make a good part of our community. Also, I can't understand what's so annoying in the conversation being split to two pages. It's actually a habit for me to look at both users' talkpages when I read a conversation. It's not THAT much of a difficulty as the policy states it to be. On ALL major Wikis there's a policy of replying on the other user's page, not your own (the way we do it is really considered as n00bish by most). And I don't see the reason why we should be different. "We're not Wikipedia" isn't an argument. Nor is "I'm used to that". It's actually a habit to be changed. --[[User:Maxim|Maxim]] 12:09, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Gold Silver Ethan Time Capsule.png This is a talk page archive.

It contains old discussions of topics relating to the article. Please do not add or remove any content from it.

Addition

I think the paragraph discussing blanking pages should also mention the whole "don't delete talk page comments" thing. That way, when a user asks "where is that written?!" I'll have an answer for him. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 05:51, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Why...

must we leave vandalistic messages like these on talk pages? What's wrong with deleting them? And furthermore why do we let the mysterious and anonymous and clearly not human operator of BulbaBot do stuff like that? — THE TROM — 23:57, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Hey!

Admin! I know your on! Include a related articles; Bulbapedia Talk page abuse on there!DCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits)) 01:27, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Why say such a thing? Why do we need an article about rule breakers and since it's already in the article, the article isn't needed. Should we make a page about edit wars? --- Aura-Knight 01:37, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
That can be included. Just for people reading it to be able to find that policy if they have no knowledge of itDCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits)) 01:38, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Why?

"When archiving, the entire page much be archived by moving the page as to keep the edit history in tact. By simply copying and pasting the text, or by moving small sections at a time, it breaks the time line of the edit history." Why do we have this rule? It's so stupid. 0° 21:14, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
