Trivia
- The Japanese print of Brock's Ninetales initially allowed it to use the Pokémon Powers of the card that was attached to it via the Shapeshift Pokémon Power. This quirk was widely exploited in Japanese tournaments: combinations of this card and Dark Vileplume were extremely popular, due to the capability to unilaterally block the opponent from playing Trainer cards, by first discarding the Dark Vileplume, playing all the necessary Trainer cards for the turn, and then attaching another Dark Vileplume to it at the end of the turn, before attacking. This card later received an erratum in Japan, which was included in the international releases of the card.
Origin
Will-o'-the-wisp's Japanese name is that of Will-O-Wisp, a move introduced in the Generation III Pokémon games that Ninetales can learn via TM61.
