Blaze (Japanese: もうか Raging Flames) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Seventeen Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which are Fire-type and a majority of them Fire-type starter Pokémon.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Blaze uses a Fire-type move, the power will increase by 1.5× if the user has less than or equal to ⅓ of its maximum HP remaining.

Outside of battle

Blaze has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Blaze will deal double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.

Pokémon Conquest

In Pokémon Conquest, Blaze will increase user's Attack if the Pokémon using it is below ⅓ of its HP.
