Black & White TCG Series merchandise: Difference between revisions

Similar to the {{TCGMerch|Black & White|Series|Victini Box}} released in April, a box dedicated to {{p|Reshiram}} was also released. On October 19, 2011, the '''Reshiram Box''' included four {{TCG|Emerging Powers}} Series booster packs, a Reshiram figure, a new promotional reprint of the {{TCG ID|Black & White|Reshiram|26}} card from {{TCG|Black & White}}, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.  

Also released October 19, 2011 is the '''Zekrom Box'''. It has the same contents as the Reshiram Box, but contains a Zekrom figure and a new promotional reprint of the {{TCG ID|Black & White|Zekrom|47}} card from {{TCG|Black & White}} instead of the Reshiram themed merchandise.  

The {{TCG|Next Destinies}} expansion brought with it two {{TCG|Theme Deck}}s: {{TCG|Explosive Edge}} and {{TCG|Voltage Vortex}}. They featured the two main legendary Pokémon of [[Unova]], {{p|Reshiram}} and {{p|Zekrom}}, respectively. Unlike the first three expansions of the Black & White Series, these Theme Decks were released the day of the set, instead of weeks prior. In addition, their featured cards, {{TCG ID|Next Destinies|Reshiram|21}} and {{TCG ID|Next Destinies|Zekrom|50}}, used the Tinsel Holofoil, instead of the Cracked Ice Holofoil typically used in Theme Decks. Each included a [[Pokémon Trading Card Game Online]] code that allows the deck to be unlocked online.

To finish off the [[Tao trio]]'s collection of promotional boxes, the '''Kyurem Box''' was made available starting June 2012. Similar to the {{TCGMerch|Black & White|Series|Reshiram Box}} and {{TCGMerch|Black & White|Series|Zekrom Box}} released in October 2011, the Kyurem Box included four booster packs, a Kyurem figure, a new promotional reprint of the {{TCG ID|Noble Victories|Kyurem|34}} card from {{TCG|Noble Victories}}, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online that unlocks the exclusive promotional card. Unlike the Reshiram and Zekrom Boxes, however, the booster packs included in this box were one {{TCG|Black & White}} booster pack, two {{TCG|Emerging Powers}} booster packs, and one {{TCG|Next Destinies}} booster pack.  

Along with the Emerging Challenges Box, the '''Black & White Variety Blisters''' were also released in stores September 18, 2012. These Blister Packs contained 3 random booster packs from the first three Black & White Series expansions—{{TCG|Black & White}}, {{TCG|Emerging Powers}}, and {{TCG|Noble Victories}}—as well as an exclusive Holofoil Promotional card. There are two exclusive promotional cards available: a Mirror Reverse Holofoil {{TCG ID|Next Destinies|Meowth|80}} and a Mirror Reverse Holofoil {{TCG ID|Dark Explorers|Scraggy|67}}.  

Released in November 2012, a few months after the [[2012 World Championships]], were the 2012 World Championships Decks. These four decks ({{TCG|Pesadelo Prism}}, {{TCG|Eeltwo}}, {{TCG|Terraki-Mewtwo}}, {{TCG|CMT Deck|CMT}}) were the decks used by the three champions in each of the three divisions of Juniors, Seniors, and Masters, as well as the Juniors 4th place finisher. Each Deck comes with a Worlds 2012 themed Deckbox, a booklet about the championships, a non tournament legal print of the sixty card deck, and for the first time, a special World Championships Pin.

During the month of February 2013, a special product like no other was released: the '''Plasma Storm Elite Trainer Box'''. Contained in this Elite Trainer Box were seven booster packs from the {{TCG|Plasma Storm}} expansion, as well as 5 basic Energy cards from each of the 8 types, an acrylic {{TCG|Poison}} marker and {{TCG|Burn}} marker, 6 blue Plasma Storm themed dice, 1 transparent Plasma Storm themed dice for flipping, and a {{TCG|Plasma Storm Player's Guide|player's guide}} with tips about all the newly released cards in the {{TCG|Plasma Storm}} expansion.

On April 24, 2013, the '''Black Kyurem Box''' included four Black & White Series booster packs: 1 from {{TCG|Plasma Storm}}, 1 from {{TCG|Boundaries Crossed}}, 1 from {{TCG|Dragons Exalted}}, and 1 from {{TCG|Emerging Powers}}, a Black Kyurem figure, a new promotional reprint of the {{TCG ID|BW Promo|Black Kyurem|58}} card from {{TCG|Boundaries Crossed}}, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.  

Also released April 24, 2013 is the '''White Kyurem Box'''. It has the same contents as the Black Kyurem Box, but contains a White Kyurem figure and a new promotional reprint of the {{TCG ID|BW Promo|White Kyurem|59}} card from {{TCG|Boundaries Crossed}} instead of the Black Kyurem themed merchandise.  

After the success of the first {{TCGMerch|Black & White|Series|Plasma Storm Elite Trainer Box}}, [[The Pokémon Company International]] believed that Elite Trainer Boxes should become an integral part of the TCG merchandise line up. Two sets later came the '''Plasma Blast Elite Trainer Box'''. It came with much of the same contents as the first, but featured a few improvements after official representatives asked for feedback from the community on [[The PokéGym]]. The box added Card Sleeves, as well as an additional booster pack, bring the total to eight. Also included are 5 basic Energy cards from each of the 8 types, an acrylic {{TCG|Poison}} marker and {{TCG|Burn}} marker, 6 orange Plasma Blast themed dice, 1 transparent Plasma Blast themed dice for flipping, and a {{TCG|Plasma Blast Player's Guide|player's guide}} with tips about all the newly released cards in the {{TCG|Plasma Blast}} expansion.  

Featuring the {{Shiny}} {{p|Genesect}} from the [[M16|sixteenth movie]] is the '''Red Genesect Collection'''. The Red Genesect Collection, released September 25, 2013, contains an all Reverse Holofoil {{TCG|Theme Deck}} centered around Genesect, a Genesect promotional card, 1 metallic Genesect coin, 2-player playmat/rulesheet, deckbox, damage counters, strategy sheet, a Genesect pin, and 2 Black & White Series booster packs. The Theme Deck contains many of the same Pokémon as the {{TCG|Mind Wipe}} Theme Deck from {{TCG|Plasma Blast}}, but with a much improved {{TCG|Trainer card}} line up.
