In [[BW77]] Snivy felt bad for Tepig when she found out his previous trainer abandoned him, and tried to cheer him up to forget the happened. The next day, she was used in Ash's double battle against [[Suwama]] and his Emboar and Heatmor. Even thought Snivy had type disadvantage she was still able to endure their opponents' fire type attacks but couldn't manage to their {{m|Flare Blitz}}/{{m|Fire Spin}} combination and was knocked out. Nevertheless Snivy kept on encouraging Tepig to overcome his sadness and win the match.
