Granite Cave is out of view in the upper-right side.]] After rescuing [[Mr. Briney]]'s [[Peeko]], the player should head to Mr. Briney's cottage on Route 104, where he will offer to sail the player to Dewford Town, the location of Steven Stone and the second Gym Badge. The sail covers [[Route 105]], [[Route 106]], and [[Route 107]]. The player will then arrive at Dewford Town. [[image: Granite Cave.png|thumb|left|Granite Cave.]] The first priority should be to deliver the parcel to Steven Stone, who is in [[Granite Cave]]. However the player can also challenge the Gym to gain the ability to use {{HM|05|Flash}}. It should be noted that some floors of Granite Cave are dark.  

If the player chose {{p|Torchic}} as a starter, the player can take advantage of super-effective {{m|Peck}}s here. If the player chose {{p|Mudkip}} or {{p|Treecko}}, {{p|Taillow}} and {{p|Ralts}} provide a decent alternative.
