Upon arriving, you'll see the entire place is boiling with lava, and many Fire and Rock Pokémon dwell here. Some Pokémon, like Torchic, had been in the Cavern Zone but are now in the Lava Zone, meaning that their intention of going to the Cavern Zone was coming to the Lava Zone.

Talk to a Hitmontop, who is beside a gigantic drill. However, the drill isn't working since it's overheated, according to Hitmontop. He wants you to go and have a look around before coming back here, so the drill may have cooled off by then. Why don't you look at Camerupt's Furnace?

Camerupt's Furnace

When you go there, you don't check out what the furnace does, but instead have a battle before doing so. Seeing the puzzled look on your face, Camerupt explains that battling is just a way to say "hello" in the Lava Zone, and she especially wants to have a battle with "Lightning Strike".

Camerupt:

After defeating her, she explains on how to use the furnace. You can get either Gold or Iron Ore from the currently overheated drill. On the pot-like sculpture next to her, you can place either the Gold or Iron Ore that you have and pick a shape--Round or Straight. Round will make a Gold or Iron Top (Iron Top is required for an Attraction in this zone) and Straight will make a Gold or Iron Bar, and Iron Bars can fix broken switches.

A Golem will come after you examine the furnace. You can sell your Iron or Gold things to him in exchange for Berries.

Hitmontop

Return from the furnace. Hitmontop is waiting to talk to you, and the drill looks no longer overheated. So how about it? Let's go and dig some ores!

However, Hitmontop is not going to let you use the drill until he battles you, and remember what Camerupt said--battles are a way of saying "hello" in the Lava Zone.

Hitmontop:

After defeating him, he will finally let you use the drill. You have to Dash into the nearby switch in order to make the drill work, and what you get as a result is random. Dig some Iron Ore up (two of them) and walk over to the furnace. Make one Iron Straight, and the other Iron Round.

For the Iron Bar, press 2 on the broken switch, where fire is blocking the way to a Rhyperior. The Iron Bar will automatically become the new switch, so dash into it in order for the walls of fire to go down.

For the Iron Top, you'll be needing one for the next Attraction. You don't need to keep on making them--the Attraction Leader keeps the Iron Top especially for you.

Rhyperior's Bumper Burn

Enter the now unblocked area. Talk to a Rhyperior. Apparently, he has a Prism Piece, but he needs you to give him the Iron Top you have first. Bring it to him, and he'll accept it. He'll also except you to play his Attraction, Rhyperior's Bumper Burn!

Like Rhyperior said, his Attraction is "kind of" rough. Have the Wii Remote held horizontally, and move left, right, up, or down. You may collect some power-ups, which you can activate by pressing 2. Not everyone has a special power, however--if they don't, it's like a mini-tornado.

Pokémon Points for Bonus
  Magnemite 1,000
  Pikachu 3,000
  Bonsly 4,000
  Baltoy 5,000
  Torkoal 6,000
  Quilava 8,000
  Claydol 10,000
  Magnezone 13,000
  Torterra 14,000
  Snorlax 16,000
  Venusaur 18,000
  Flareon 25,000
  Hitmontop 30,000
  Tyranitar 40,000
  Rhyperior 50,000
  Heatran 70,000

After completing this, Rhyperior will hand over the Prism Piece. You are now allowed to go deeper into the Lava Zone, bringing you closer to Blaziken.

Charmander

When you go up, you see...could it be? It's your old friend Charmander! Charmander is very happy upon seeing you again, saying he was worried about you. He also says that he almost got hurt, but Blaziken saved him, causing Charmander to admire him greatly. Charmander also makes an odd request...he would like to have a battle with you! Is Chikorita the only calm one?

Charmander:

After defeating him, Charmander will get very impressed and head off to do more training. You should go up too, since Blaziken's lair is most likely up there.

Meditite

When you try to go up, a Meditite will have a quiz with you, since he wants to test whether you're smart or not. Answer all three of his questions and he will get impressed, and let you go on.

Farfetch'd

When you go around, you'll see a Farfetch'd, guarding the way to Blaziken's lair. He's very proud of himself, since he has never been defeated. He also says if you want to go and see Blaziken...you'll have to have a battle with him first, and he doubts anyone can beat him!

Farfetch'd:

  • HP: 2
  • Attacks:
  • Currently unknown

After you defeat him, Farfetch'd's pride level seems to have gone down considerably. He is surprised that he lost and thinks you are very good at battling, so he allows you to go and see Blaziken.

Dash into the switch in order to make the bridge go down. You'll then meet a Magcargo, who is the gatekeeper of Blaziken's lair. Before he lets you in, however, he has to check two things--if you played Bastiodon's Block Barrage and if you played Rhyperior's Bumper Burn. After doing both, he'll allow you in, as well as become your friend.

Blaziken

When you go in, you'll see Blaziken, with Charmander by his side. Apparently, he wants this "Lightning Strike"--which he reveals to be you--to join forces with him and rule the PokéPark. However, once you reveal your true intentions, Blaziken gets annoyed and says Venusaur is cowardly and Empoleon is just plain stubborn. However, he will agree with your decision...if you beat Charmander in a battle!

Charmander says that he didn't use his full strength when he battled you earlier. The two of you then go on the battlefield, while Blaziken closely monitors you and Charmander.

Charmander:

  • HP: 4
  • Attacks:
  • Flamethrower
  • Scratch

Once you defeat him, Charmander is more impressed than ever, and so is Blaziken. Blaziken says you are as kind as Venusaur and as willing as Empoleon...but your physical strength? He is going to be the one to test that, with his own Attraction, Blaziken's Boulder Bash!

Blaziken's Boulder Bash

In this Attraction, the Wii Remote is held vertically. You do not have to press any buttons. Swing the Wii Remote to smash a rock. The better timing you have, the better the score, so try making your time right so you can get a higher score. If you get hit by a rock, repeatedly swing your Wii Remote around to recover.

There is a time limit of 30 seconds.
