 The man standing at the front of the Gym tells you what type of Pokémon the Gym Trainers use and offer advice on what to use to defeat them. The Pewter City Gym trains [[Rock_(type)|Rock-type]] Pokémon, so Mankey will do away with them easily using it's fighting-type moves. Squirtle or Bulbasaur will make short work of the Pokémon in this gym using their elemental moves; Charmander will have a harder time.<br>
