Mars says she will take you on first, and Jupiter says that she will be the next. However, just when you really think that you need to take them on one by one, your [[rival]] [[Barry]] (or whatever you call him) bursts in and stands between you and either Mars or Jupiter, saying,

Next comes their strongest Pokémon— Mars' Level 45 {{p|Purugly}} and Jupiter's Level 46 {{p|Skuntank}}. Each of these two Pokémon have only one weakness— {{type|Fighting}} and Ground-type moves respectively. Be careful if you are using {{type|Fighting}} Pokémon or other Pokémon that are immune to {{type|Normal}} or {{type|Poison}} (meaning {{type|Ghost}} and {{type|Steel}} Pokémon)— Purugly has {{m|Aerial Ace}} and {{m|Shadow Claw}}, while Skuntank has Flamethrower. Purugly also knows {{m|Slash}}, which also has a higher critical-hit ratio, and {{m|Hypnosis}}, which makes your Pokémon fall asleep. Skuntank has {{m|Poison Jab}}, a powerful move that may inflict poison, {{m|Night Slash}} (again, has a higher chance to land a critical hit) and {{m|SmokeScreen}}, which reduces the your Pokémon's Accuracy.

Jupiter is not lying and Cyrus is not joking either. '''Cyrus' team is far stronger than what you will expect.''' His Pokémon have all evolved into their final forms and gained 5 to 6 levels. Moreover, he also added one more Pokémon. His team is almost totally offensive— be very careful and do not underestimate anything he sends out. All of his four Pokémon still have the same common weaknesses-- Rock-type moves, but since they are much stronger, even a strong Rock-type move like Rock Slide cannot wipe out his whole team.

His first Pokémon is {{p|Honchkrow}}, which evolved from his {{p|Murkrow}}. It possesses {{m|Dark Pulse}} (a move that may cause flinching), {{m|Embargo}} (you know, prevents you from using items), {{m|Drill Peck}} and {{m|Steel Wing}} (to cover its Rock-type and {{type|Ice}} weaknesses), and may also raise its Defense. {{type|Electric}} moves are your best bet.

His new Pokémon is a {{p|Gyarados}}. It seems that you'll need to go with Electric-type attacks (you should know that Electric-type attacks are its bane and deal significant damage on it) or Rock-type attacks, but it possesses {{m|Aqua Tail}}, as well as {{m|Earthquake}}, which may take your Electric-type Pokémon out by surprise! It also possesses {{m|Ice Fang}}, which may freeze your Pokémon or make them flinch, and {{m|Giga Impact}}, which hits extremely hard! Although this counterpart of {{m|Hyper Beam}} forces Gyarados to waste a turn to recharge, Gyarados' high Attack stat makes this move very dreadful.

His strongest Pokémon {{p|Sneasel}} has evolved into {{p|Weavile}} and is now at ''Lv.48''. That's right, '''Level 48'''— stronger by one level than the legendary Pokémon you'll face very soon! Weavile has high Attack and extremely high Speed, making it very dangerous. If your Pokémon is slower than Crobat, don't think about outspeeding Weavile. Moreover, it is no longer fragile like when it was a Sneasel. It has Night Slash, {{m|Ice Punch}}, which may freeze your Pokémon, {{m|Brick Break}} (so don't try Rock-type or Steel-type moves against Weavile), and {{m|X-Scissor}}, a powerful {{type|Bug}} move. Its major weaknesses are Fighting-type moves, but even hitting back with your own Brick Break may not knock it out, so don't even think that {{m|Mach Punch}} or {{m|Rock Smash}} can deal serious damage. Stronger moves like {{m|Close Combat}} are your best choices.
