The '''ancient hero''' (Japanese: '''古代の英雄''' ''Ancient Hero'') is a character from the backstory of {{g|Legends: Arceus}}.

Legends say that he, along with his ten companions, sought out all of {{ga|Arceus}}'s [[Plate]]s in order to meet the Pokémon itself. After finding them, he managed to defeat Arceus in battle, earning the being's respect. In addition, his Pokémon received blessings from Arceus,<ref>[[Mai]]: ''"The Pokémon that graces [[Deertrack Heights]] is one of those honored few.
