Every year, a Pokémon annual is published. This article contains a list of the annuals, and their content.

Typical content

Pokémon annuals typically contain profiles of Pokémon; with information, attacks etc. They also include puzzles, story adaptations of anime episodes or movies, and sometimes board games.

List of annuals

2003

The 2003 Pokémon annual contained, among other things, a novelisation of Mewtwo Strikes Back and a profile on Mew. The front cover depicts numerous Pokémon battling in a stadium.

2004

The first Gen III annual, including profiles of most of the Hoenn Pokémon, in aplhabetical order, and novelisations of Pikachu and Pichu and Spell of the Unown. All the main characters from the Advanced Generation series appear on the cover.

2005

Contained profiles of all 200 Pokémon in the Hoenn Dex order, and novelisations of the first six Advanced Generation episodes. AG002, AG003 and AG005 are combined into one story, collectively entitled "There's No Place Like Hoenn".

2006

Contained the same profiles as the previous annual, and novelisations of AG049, AG050, AG053 and AG054.

2007

Contained a listing of all (at the time) 384 Pokémon in National Dex order, plus bonus profiles of Jirachi and Deoxys in the back. Also included maps of Kanto, Johto and Hoenn, and novelisations of AG093, AG094, AG095 and AG096.

2008

Contained the same profiles as the previous annual, minus Jirachi and Deoxys but also including profiles on some Gen IV Pokémon. Includes novelisations of AG147, AG184, AG185 and AG192.

2009

The first proper Gen IV annual, containing profiles of all 151 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Dex, a bonus profile on Darkrai, and novelisations of DP015, DP020, DP024 and DP033

Errors

In the 2005 annual, Rhyhorn and Rhydon's pictures are reversed. This error was corrected in the 2006 edition.
