Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Battle Dimension is the eleventh season of the Pokémon anime, immediately following the conclusion of the tenth season. As such it is the second season of the Diamond & Pearl series, following Ash as he continues gathering badges in Sinnoh and Dawn as she continues gathering ribbons.
It began on April 12, 2008 with the dub premiere Tears for Fears! and, if 52 episodes are ordered, will end with DP104.
It is preceded by Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl and is will likely be succeeded by a 12th season. It should be noted that the concept of seasons does not exist in Japan. An invention of the American animation and television industry, Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Battle Dimension is not differentiated from the rest of the Diamond & Pearl series in Japan. Unlike in Japan, where episodes are aired almost every week of the year, in America episodes are aired in usually 52-episode blocks, or "seasons," for several months before taking a break of several months to allow production on the next batch of episodes to begin.
