Alex (Japanese: アレックス Alex) is a supporting character who appears in the Pokémon Horizons: The Series. He's a painter and Liko's father.
In the anime
History
Pre-series
Years prior to the series, Alex attended Indigo Academy.
He was first mentioned in HZ001 by his daughter, Liko. He and his wife recommended Indigo Academy as the place where Liko would attend in the hopes of finding her goal.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Alex made his first appearance in HZ009. After welcoming Friede and Roy to their home, he expresses his worries to Friede, which he reassured him that with the time spent with the Rising Volt Tacklers, she had fun. However, Liko overheard what he said, which caused their relationship to become distant. Eventually, Liko came back and told her father that with her and Sprigatito, if it was alright for her to start her own adventure, which he understands and approved. Later in the episode, he told Liko and Friede that there were sightings of a black Rayquaza over Artazon.

Alex is a caring father, and spends most of his time painting portraits of Pokémon.
