Biology
Trivia
Origin
Ogerpon may be based on oni, creatures from Japanese folklore that often are referred to as demons or ogres in English. In particular, it may be based off the oni who live on Onigashima from the story of Momotarō. It may also be inspired by onikenbai, or Devil's Sword Dance , a traditional festival and dance in Kitakami, Iwate.
Name origin
Ogerpon and Ōgapon may be derived from ogre.
