Information
This commemoration set feature 9 cards of Pikachu in 9 different languages, which are English, Italian, Korean, Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Polish and Portuguese.
Trivia
- The Japanese-language Pikachu has a green background variant, found only in Pokémon Centers and 7-11 stores.
- This is the second set of its kind to be released in Japan. The previous set was released ten years prior and included cards written in seven of the same languages as the ones found in this set. (The 2000 set features Chinese and Dutch in place of Polish and Japanese). However, rather than being nine prints of the same card with different artwork, the previous set included nine different reprints of early Pikachu cards. It also featured a gold Pikachu tail stamp to the left of the Pokédex info.
