Relation with Audino

Indeedee and Audino share a similar design, but instead of being a Galarian form, the name of the Pokémon is different. The names though are based on the same formatting, being a pun about agreement.

Audino → "I dunno" (Jap. Tabunne → たぶんね → "Probably"), Indeedee → "Indeed" (Jap. Yessan → イエすさん → "Yes-man").

My early contribution highlighting this was removed because:

  • I put it in "Name origin" but it should have been in "Trivia".
  • I was too vague in what I was comparing. It should be clearer that it only applies to Audino's design and name.
  • (tag ArcToraphim) argued that it wasn't worth highlighting as other Pokémon have similar name based on an agreement pun. Like Wobbuffet そうなんす → "That's right".

But I think the link with Audino is still remarkable because of the design similarity. Thoughts on how to approach this? Is this some sort of pseudo-galarian form? Nitpicker red (talk) 23:07, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

That's really a very obvious connection.--Rocket Grunt (Report To Me) 23:26, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
Not so obvious it seems, I worded it as "It seems to have some link to Indeedee, in term of design as well as naming scheme (pun about agreement)." and it was still removed from Audino's page for being baseless speculation. I'm really not sure how to approach it. Nitpicker red (talk) 12:33, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Gender ratio?

Does anyone get an impression that Indeedee's gender ratio in the wild may be version-exclusive (or am I just getting bad RNG)?

  • (research) I am currently farming Indeedee in Pokemon Sword and seem to be only encountering males (six and counting). My Pokedex does not list Indeedee's female form at all, confirming I have never seen one (forms for caught Pokemon are registered on sight, not capture; and I have acquired them from the wild, at least one Max Raid Battle and through Surprise Trade).
  • (speculation) Sword's Pokedex entry specifically mentions males while Shield's entry specifically mentions females; the opposite-gender entries in each game are much more generic. If this is just coincidence it is a peculiar one.
  • NPC Trainer Madame Judy in Glimwood Tangle was incorrectly listed as having an Indeedee of each gender; it's actually two males in both Sword and Shield.

Update: Turns out the Pokemon Shield YouTube video I linked above also claims that Indeedee's genders are version-exclusive. --Stratelier 05:08, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
