Rods

I beat the Fast League and seem to have received the So-So Old Rod as a reward instead of the Good Old Rod. Might these be alternative rewards? CreepyJeff (talk) 22:21, 26 May 2017 (UTC)

Are you sure you beat the Fast League rather than the Quick League? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 00:01, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
Ah, thank you. When I posted the comment, there was only the Quick League posted, and so I assumed I had misremembered the name. Thank you. CreepyJeff (talk) 17:34, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
Similarily, does the Great Old Rod require Expert League 1, 2, or 3? CreepyJeff (talk) 11:51, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Random encounters - Add possible outcomes?

Would it be beneficial to add a column for possible outcomes and/or add some indication to which events trigger a retire? Another thing might be to add which encounters are only one time. Once we have some kind of template for it I'd be happy to add them all in. Thoughts? Tythal (talk) 00:38, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, it seems that there could be something, possibly another 2 columns that are split, with the first one being options and the second being outcomes. However, I fear this would be messy and hard to read, so there is probably a better solution. CreepyJeff (talk) 11:51, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Leagues

Should we add a Table for every League and their battles which would include the JP of each battle? I have a Word Pad with this info, so I could fill in the table if someone else can make the table. DarkEonMaster (talk) 20:29, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

I went ahead and made this User:Raltseye/Magikarp Jump League feel free to complete it. --Raltseye prata med mej 15:09, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
I see. I will try to complete as much as I can, though I completely forgot to write down the rewards. Don't the rewards change based on Trainer rank though? DarkEonMaster (talk) 02:47, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
I don't think so. It sounds more reasonable to be the same for each stage, but I don't know maybe it does. --Raltseye prata med mej 09:53, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

Shortchanged Glitch

I've noticed that some random encounters, like Nugget and Roddy Tackle, will state that I obtained more coins than what I actually gained. Just a moment before typing this, I apparently sold a Nugget for 4,000 coins or so, but my coin counters only went from ~3,000 to ~5,000, for a mere ~2,000 increase. And this kind of thing has happened to me plenty of times.

Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe we could mention it in a new Bugs section?

I have actually noticed this as well. At first, I thought it was a bug, but I paid more attention to it and noticed that you do get all the coins. For some reason though, the counter starts off with you having some of the coins.
Ex: You start with 500 coins. Roddy Tackle gives you 400 coins. It shows you have 700 coins before giving you the other 200.
Keep track of how many coins you have before an event starts (like before training) and see for yourself. Hopefully, what you experienced is the same "bug" :) DarkEonMaster (talk) 02:47, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
Interesting, I'll have to pay attention to how many coins I have before I initiate an encounter. In any case, it probably still qualifies as a bug, since common sense dictates that the coin counter really should increase by the specified amount.
