Punishment (Japanese: おしおき Punishment) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Punishment deals variable damage depending on the stats of the foe. Its damage is calculated by the following formula: File:Punishment formula.png , with a maximum base power of 200.
For example, if the target has used Bulk Up twice and Swords Dance once, there is a four-stage increase for the Attack stat and a two-stage increase in the Defense stat, making a total of six, which causes Punishment to have a base power of 180.

Sableye points one of its fingers straight up in the air and a beam of energy shoots out from its front and its back and hits the opponent. The attack does much more damage if Sableye was hit with an attack before using it. | |||
