** 200 years ago, during an expedition in Area Zero, a man named Heath somehow finds himself in Area Zero Underdepths and encountered Terapagos while in its Stellar Form and fascinated by the sight, Heath added Terapagos in his Scarlet Book/Violet Book, dubbing its page, "A Disk Pokémon?", unsure if it was a Pokémon or even alive at all, but he names it Terapagos and suspects it is the origin of the Terastallization.
** 10 years ago, Professor Sada/Professor Turo went on another expedition to Area Zero and wishing to find a way to bring Pokémon from other eras or timelines to their own due to witnessing these creatures in Heath's Scarlet Book/Violet Book. During their research, they find Terapagos in its crystal form and study it and its power, managing to use it to create Tera Orbs, an AI copy of themselves and even a time machine, capable of bringing the Pokémon they desired to see for so long to their era/timeline, now known as Paradox Pokémon.
** In The Teal Mask, a descendant of Heath, Briar, started to study and prepare herself for another expedition to Area Zero, specificially to find Terapagos and prove to the world that Heath's writings were true. In The Indigo Disk, Briar finally is allowed to travel into Area Zero with a small team of students from Blueberry Academy, Carmine, Kieran and Florian/Juliana. They together ventured into Area Zero Underdepths thanks to Zero Lab's elevator and after defeating many Pokémon Terastallized into Stellar Tera Type to go deeper, they arrive in where Terapagos is slumbering in and determined to defeat Florian/Juliana, Kieran awakens and catches Terapagos with his Master Ball and after a brief battle where he's defeated again, Briar tells him to Terastallize Terapagos, causing it to transform into its Stellar Form but lose control as a result. Kieran tries to call Terapagos but it manages to destroy the Master Ball as the cavern starts to crack and collapse due to its power, Florian/Juliana, Carmine and later Kieran as well, manage to weaken Terapagos enough for it to return to its Normal Form allowing the player to catch it, saving everyone from its wrath.
** In the post games, if Florian/Juliana travels to Kitakami's Crystal Pool having Terapagos and Briar's Book with them, it'll use its powers to temporarily bring a Sada/Turo from another timeline where they'll trade their
