In Scarlet and Violet's version of the Area Zero Expedition, the sketch artist was inspired by the Paradox Pokémon within the Great Crater of Paldea and drew an imaginary Pokémon resembling all three legendary beasts, as well as Walking Wake, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt. This took place 200 years prior to Pokémon Scarlet, apparently predating the burning of the Brass Tower, which was 150 years before the Johto games. The Violet Book instead depicts a creature resembling the Swords of Justice.

The Legendary Beasts; Suicune, Entei and Raikou are said to be related to the Paradox Pokémon; Walking Wake, Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt respectively. Conflicting accounts claim they're the beasts's ancestors from the ancient past or versions of them from parallel timelines. Which of them is the true connection between the trios is unknown.
