Medicham attacked back and Beautifly was badly hurt. Beautifly then used a spinning {{m|String Shot}} and {{m|Tackle}} combination, tying Medicham up. With only 30 seconds left, Medicham and Beautifly clashed head on with a huge explosion sending each of them to different parts of the hall. Suddenly, the time was up, and Beautifly proved to be the winner, earning May her first Ribbon.
