Marco
Meet Marco. He's an NPC (I think). Found in RSE.
He boasts a 15.7' Shroomish and Barboach.
Due to no possible access to Sootopolis other than Dive and Surf or Fly (in which case all 3 are needed), he has at least one Flying and/or Water. That means he also has the badges for Dive (Badge 7), Surf (Badge 5), and possibly Fly (which is highly likely: badge 6). Of course all this is nonsense if he lives in Sootopolis all this time and knows other people to trade with.

Pokégear
Pokémon Adventures
The Pokégear has appeared very often in the Pokémon Adventures manga, being one of the major forms of communication since its debut in the Gold, Silver & Crystal. It seems to be the equivalent of the cellphone in the real world. As in the games, the Pokégear also has a Map Card. Characters such as Misty, Volkner, and Flint are seen possessing one. The Pokégear played a large role in the development of the Masked Man; this gadget was used to send signals to his Pokémon so that Pryce and his alter ego could be in "two places at one time."
