Besides he seems to want to get Dawn's attention all the time for himself, getting very easily jealous when she is praising other pokemon. (specially about her Cyndaquil or even [[Ash's Gible]])
 Despite his prideful and fierce attitude, he was fairly weak at first. [[Jessie's Seviper]] easily defeated the starter Pokémon in his first {{pkmn|battle}}. He has grown in strength since then, helping Dawn {{pkmn2|caught|catch}} {{TP|Dawn|Buneary}} in ''[[DP009|Setting the World on its Buneary]]'', as well as {{AP|Dawn's Buizel|Buizel}} in ''[[DP034|Buizel Your Way Out of This!]]''.
