==In the Manga==
Starmie appeared under the control of Misty in a gym challenge against Red in [[Suddenly Starmie!]], the challange didn't last long however, as Starmie easily defeated Bulbasaur, however she stated it wasn't strong enough in Mt. Moon to battle Rhydon (in a way mirroring it's Anime counterpart in [[School of Hard Knocks!]]. The battle between Bulbasaur and Starmie was merely a show for Misty to show how ill prepared Red was for facing the dangers that undoubtedly awaited them.
== In the TCG==
Starmie has appeared once in the [[Gym Heroes]] expansion.
