:::Yeah because it is based off of IVs.  If they match up, it will be shiny.  This way you can trade it between Gen I and Gen II games without losing shininess [[User:Nuckles123|Nuckles123]] ([[User talk:Nuckles123|talk]]) 06:19, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

It seems to me that quite a large portion of Water type Pokémon are purple/pink in their shiny colouration; and a large portion of all purple/pink shiny Pokémon are water types. Should this be added to the Trivia?
