Kenny (Japanese: キンジ Kinji) is a minor recurring character in the Pokémon anime. He works as the Gym assistant for the Petalburg Gym. As a result, Kenny is very close to Norman and his family.
In Love, Petalburg Style!, Kenny greeted May, Max, and Brock at the Gym's entrance and joined them for a meal prepared by Caroline. However, Caroline exhibited anger at May's mention of Beautifly, which puzzled May, Max, and Brock.
