==Lumiose City Gym==
In the 3rd Pokémon X and Y trailer, at 0:34, there is an image of the tower in the centre of the city. At the entrance of the tower is the same symbol that is in front of the Santalune City Gym, in the 2nd trailer, at 0:42. This symbol is the Gym symbol from Unova, so it is safe to assume that Lumiose City also has a Gym. From Kalos' map, Lumiose City is the 3rd Location to visit, after Vaniville and Santalune, so it could be the 2nd Gym, although it could act like Petalburg or Viridian and have the Gym challenged later on. Since Lumiose City is based on Paris, the City of Lights, then the Gym type could be Electric or Fairy (there probably will be some sort of Fairy Gym/Elite Four Member somewhere in Kalos), but this is very speculative. The gym logo is also visible in a screenshot for Pokémon X and Y (I think there is a YouTube video pointing this out.), so I would think that it is fair to say that it is not just an animé variation. I went there and something... odd happened. Im not even sure what it was. A very strange NPC is all i can say without spoiling. I think it was the building with the Dojo/Dance school on top, with the 2nd floor totally empty. I can't be sure because it only happened the one time and there are no signs left behind.

Can anyone help verify the requirements to get into Sushi High Roller? I know the only requirement isn't being the Champion, but I know it is one since the NPC that lets you in mentions it. I know there is something else since after becoming Champion, I did a bunch of style stuff and the Looker side quests and got access after that. Someone updated it to say the Looker sidequests are the other prereq, but that seems weird to me. Don't those also increase your style by completing them? Has anyone really figured out how the restaurants are scored aside from number of turns and Pokémon fainted? For some reason, I actually got 24 Balm Mushrooms in Le Wow when I completed the entire Double Battle course in 10 turns and no faints, but actually got a ''smaller'' reward (around 19-21) when I completed the entire thing in one turn per battle. From what I've seen, at least, you seem to get a better reward for getting closer to the designated turn count over taken the least possible amount of turns. This really doesn't seem right and I'm starting to think that there is more to the scoring. == Soft Resetting Changes the Menu in the Juice Shoppe ==

So, I discovered soft resetting changes the Juice Shoppe Menu to some degree under certain circumstances.

I was leveling up two 5IV Charmander (one Impish, one Careful) to see which had the best Attack of the two (Only HP, Def, Sp.Atk, Sp. Def and Speed are 31IV)

Well I used rare candies while in Kiloude City to get them the first one (Impish) to level 21, then I flew to Lumiose City to see if the Juice Shoppe was selling Rare or Ultra Rare Soda. I know its a gamble, but it paid of, they were selling Rare Soda for 20k. So that got it to level 23.

I soft reset, repeated the rare candies and then flew from Kiloude to Lumiose and when I got to the Juice Shoppe, the Rare Soda was now 50k Ultra Rare Soda, which was surprising. So I was able to get the Careful Charmander to level 26 instead of lv 23 like I had the Impish one.

I have saved and then soft reset before inside the shoppe and the menu stayed the same. This time however I had saved in Kiloude and flew back to the Juice Shoppe. If I were to guess, I would assume that the menu changes based on similar math that a roaming Pokémon's route changes. This needs further investigation, but if proven to some degree, would soft resetting to change the menu be worth noting in the article/Juice Shoppe section? So, I saw a image of a snapshot taken of the Roseli berry's official guide entry, and it states the berry newcomer is one of the ingredients needed to make Ultra Rare Soda.

It took me a 1 hour and 10 minutes but I tested each combination of Roseli berry with the berries I have, and none worked.

The only berries I have yet to test are...
Starf Berry (which is needed to make normal Rare Soda)
Enigma Berry
Micle Berry
Custap Berry
Jaboca Berry
Rowap Berry

Since making a chart with all 50+ available in-game berries would be too hard (I tried, I wanted to go on a murderous rampage using a kantana followed by Hari kari) this seems to be the best way to show the effects of mixing each berries, at least within the same color group. :Thank to a collaboration with '''Tiddlywinks''' it has been discovered that berries, no mater the color, can be cataloged into 3 groups based on one single property, the strength of the juice they make when mixed with themselves.

:Group 1 berries will always result in a 4 when mixed with themselves, group 2 berries a 8 and group 3 a 12. No currently known berry will result in a 16 or 32 when mixed with itself. On the charts above, I have marked all berry group indicators by a color, I also believe this helps a person better follow the flow of the chart since plain white can kind of blur into a wall of text.

:Berry groups will also always result in the same berry juice strength when mixed with another (different) berry of the same color in the same group. Group 1 berries will always result in a strength of 8 when mixed with another group 1 berry. They will also result in a 16 or a 12 when mixed with a group 2 or group 3 berry respectively. Group 2 berries will always result in 16 when mixed with another group 2 berry, and a 32 when mixed with any group 3 berry. Whenever 2 group 3 berries are mixed, the result is always 32.

:Some of this information seems to be incorrect.  Specifically, values received from mixing two different groups of berries.  Just now, I attempted to mix two Yellow berries, one Aspear (Group 1) and one Sitrus (Group 2), seeing that mixing a Group 1 and a Group 2 would give better results than mixing a Group 1 and a Group 3.  However, I only actually received 12 EVs from the resulting shake, not 16.  I then confirmed that those two berries were in the groups they're stated to be in by mixing two of the same, and finally tested mixing a Group 1 and a Group 3, which resulted in 16 EVs.  It seems the values for mixing between groups is reversed, which would make more sense anyway.

:Also, your original set of charts seems to agree with my findings, showing an Aspear plus a Sitrus as giving 12, and Group 1 plus Group 3 berries giving 16. I plan to add a big table (or tables, not sure right now) describing exactly what results you get for mixing what Berries to the Juice Shoppe. At that point, it's really better off as its own page. If you'd like an idea, the data may end up something like the chart at the end of [[User talk:Tiddlywinks#Could you spellcheck this Chart please?|this section]], or it may end up more like the first rainbow-colored chart in the middle of that section. (I can appreciate if you might feel like critiquing those charts, but please understand they are works in progress.)

I don't think there's any overriding need for much of the Juice Shoppe section to be on this page. A little summary with a "main" link to the separate page should be just fine. If you want to know about the Juice Shoppe - especially if we're giving all the exact mixing results - then it's really better off as its own page rather than as a section of Lumiose City. I picked Bulbasaur as my Kanto starter and this article makes it seem like I can buy either Charizardite X or Blastoisinite now and the other in the post-game. However, the NPC will only sell me Charizardite X. I'm pretty sure this means that you actually have no choice in the order of Mega Stones, and that the first buyable one is for the starter with the advantage over yours, but I came here first as a formality. {{tt|If|another formality}} I'm right, this distinction needs to be stated in the {{DL|Lumiose City|Stone Emporium}} section. Furthermore, these Mega Stones aren't shown anywhere in the items section, only the ones given by Prof. Sycamore. I just added data for style (thanks in part to info from a link above). I've not proceeded to (or especially near) the post-game as yet, so I couldn't add data for stuff like Sushi High Roller, but there's one really big question that stands out...style increases for the lottery.

When I didn't get any match at the lottery, I got 0 style. When I only matched 1 digit, I got 1 style. ...I don't know about any higher matches right now; while it'd make sense if the style increase equals the size of the match, that's just a guess right now. The big problem here is that it seems lotto numbers don't soft reset easily. So it'd be a big help if anyone who doesn't have max style could try the lotto and see how much style is increased if they get a 2-digit or larger match. I unfortunately lost exact count how many times I soft reset, but It was at least 25 (had a note pad open and pressed enter for each soft reset, so the count is 25-27 with 25 defiantly the min) but I saw 3 Ultra Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}40,000, 5 Ultra Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}50,000, 2 Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}20,000 and 2 {{pokedollar}}10,000 7 Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}30,000. Ok, I did 25 soft resets and not once did the Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}40,000 show up.

I compiled the results with a Excel spread sheet that I also used to keep track of resets. In 25 soft resets I saw 8 Blue juices of various values. 8 Colorful Shakes of various values, one of which was '''OVER 9000!!!''' (lol sorry), 8 Green juices of various values. 9 Pink Juices of various values. 5 Purple Juices of various values. 4 Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}10,000, 5 Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}20,000 and 4 Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}30,000. Again, 0 Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}40,000 to be found. There were 7 Red Juices of various values. I saw 2 Ultra Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}40,000 and 3 Ultra Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}50,000. I also saw 12 Yellow juices of various values.

The only significant find in that test was that Colorful Shake can sell as High, maybe higher then {{pokedollar}}10,000 Coincidentally, that was on the 25th soft reset.

Given that in the last week I've soft reset somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 times, I should have statistically came across the Rare Soda {{pokedollar}}40,000 by now. This page, like its namesake, is huge and difficult to navigate. Each of the major sections of the page is already divided between the different sections of the city. If the page was split into individual pages for each of the major roads, information on South Boulevard wouldn't need to be separated by information on the rest of the city and could much more easily be managed. == Splitting up article ==

I agree that the avenues, boulevards, and Central Plaza should be split into separate articles. I also think that the plazas and back alleys should be in it's own section. Some subsections could be combined into their own section (e.g. Lumi Cabs & Gogoat Shuttles in transportation). I also think that "Places of Interest" should include all the unique buildings (Hotel Richissime, the Art Musuem, PR Studios, the Lab, Prism Tower, etc.) with links to their respective articles or the articles they're under. A section/article about mechanics might also be good idea.

== The REAL Lumiose Urban Redevelopment Plan ==

With the advent of Z-A's release, as well as a ton of people coming back to the site to play XY, I'm working on a massive revamp of this page. Lumiose is going to be a hub for two games with an unreal amount of content between both versions. Everything is clearly too big to be on this page. In that sense, Lumiose should exist as a megacity "hub" to lead to all of the other sections, which will also be re-organized.
===Lumiose City===

To start, this page is incomprehensible to anyone playing Pokémon X and Y and looking for information. 

For instance, in order to figure out the amount of Style needed for the updated {{p|Furfrou}} trims, an early-game Pokémon accessible right after Lumiose, you ''could'' just go to the Style section of the page, and view the three tables. This key mechanic to the function of almost every area in the city is buried under several temporary tables and existing subpages that are mostly only text, but it's still there. Logically, you'd then want to go to the section for Friseur Furfrou for more information, but clicking every instance of the term Friseur Furfrou leads me to the Vernal Avenue section, not the page. So, I have to click on the Vernal Avenue page, and then go to the Frusier Furfrou section. The issue is that if I do any of these in an order outside of this incomprehensible flowchart, the Friseur Furfrou page does not have any information of how much grooming a Furfrou adds to your style, which means I'd need to go BACK to the Lumiose page and start the process all over again, or have to tab between two pages for this information.

This is the case with everything in Lumiose. Cafes are split off into their own page, even though they're all largely different and require different amounts of style to access, and are all in different places. Each avenue page (see [[Vernal Avenue]]) has barely any images, and the "location of Vernal Avenue" is just the Lumiose map again, which is incomprehensible and useless, since every page uses it.

As a wiki, it makes little to zero sense to design a page around people that MUST be intimately familiar with the design of the city to use the page in the first place. It is clear that megacities in the Pokémon universe do not and cannot fit the mould of the existing area page layouts.

===Lumiose Improvements===
For the very top of the page, I'm going to design a large map (using existing in-game assets as a base) in the style of the [[Glitterati#In_the_core_series_games|Glitterati]] and [[Snacksworth#Treats|Snacksworth]] pages. The ideal would be making them interactable, so clicking on different parts of the image will allow a user to go to the corresponding pages. Even if that's not possible, we could use modern div styled tables in order to properly indicate that this is a large hub of a page, that is split into many other pages, allowing a user to go to those pages individually. An overview section (not sections, a single section) on the Lumiose page should cover, in general, what the city is like, and how the city is split, as well as its plot relevancy, including the battle against AZ at the parade. The anime, manga and spin-off sections should also stay here, even if some sub-sections within them are undercooked and lack content. Since the Lumiose City save glitch is pervasive throughout the city on Version 1.0.0, it should not be its own page, and should have its own section (which it already does, it's just tiny and split between its own page for some reason) with Glitches generally being moved out of the Trivia section wholesale, as one of them is particularly relevant and game-breaking. This is especially true with the inability to download updates officially as per the Nintendo eShop, which is now offline.

The Lumiose City page should also exist to house mechanics and features that are pervasive throughout all aspects of Lumiose. Style is the big one. Cabs and the Gogoat Shuttle operate differently between sub-pages, and should have detailed sections on a per-subpage basis. All shop tables should be moved to their individual subpages, since they differ greatly between areas, as is the case with the Items, Pokémon and Trainers that are exclusive to certain areas.

For the individual plazas, each should get their own section on the Lumiose page instead, since some such as Bleu Plaza don't have any features whatsoever, making it impossible to create single pages for each plaza.

The design of the Lumiose page has been fractured due to originally being too big, but now that we've decided to split into subpages for each area, we have a lot of needless, smaller '''"main article"''' pages that don't need to exist. This, then comes with the task of updating subpages to be more relevant.

===Subpages===
The subpages should be as follows:

* [[Estival Avenue]] 
* [[Autumnal Avenue]]
* [[Hibernal Avenue]]

Every sub-page will have sections dedicated to the individual places of interest, though they will naturally be filled out with more content, images, etc. As mentioned earlier, Lumiose Cafes should probably not be their own page and instead will just be sections on the sub-pages, especially now that they have parity with an area in ORAS, and already creates existing confusion with the non-Lumiose cafes also found throughout Kalos. The [[Prism Tower (stage)|Prism Tower stage]] from Super Smash Bros. should be moved to a spin-off section on [[Prism Tower]], both of these pages don't need to be split.

===Other Games===
Z-A is understandably the elephant in the room. If the whole game is set in Lumiose as Nintendo of America stated on Twitter, then we are going to have to split the page off into two. If we have a better foundation for Lumiose in the present-day, then we can expand outwards off that template for Z-A, since it is no doubt going to be even bigger than Lumiose.

There are a variety of other games that this "megacity" page template might also be appropriate for. Mauville City is a three-tiered mess that canonically has parity with Lumiose and is designed similarly. Whether that should have its own page not dissimilar to a split RSE and ORAS version of Mauville remains to be seen, but some account should be taken for megacity pages in this universe. Castelia is just a giant list of sections with no images or proper trainer splits, and that's not even touching the [[Castelia Sewers]] or [[Liberty Garden]] subpages. [[Mesagoza]] is also just a list of subpages with no real content of its own in the main series games.

===Conclusion===
In finality, this page is not fit for its purpose with in XY, nor it's eventual role in Z-A. My suggestions (which is less of a proposal, and more that I might need help with reorganizing that I can't do on my own) make the page a far cleaner experience for those looking for a general overview on Lumiose in every aspect, and the individual subpages are now the home for the more granular content within Lumiose, instead of being split between both.
